With one of our guides, meet the Maya, from their origins to the Classical era and up to their contemporary lives.

Meet the Maya, from their origins to the Classical era, and up to their contemporary lives. Even after declining at the end of the first millennium, the Mayan civilization is still alive through culture, languages and traditions.

They were mighty builders and scientists, and for centuries, their sophistication surpassed that of the great cities of Europe.

Hundreds of magnificent artefacts, found during recent archaeological digs in Guatemala, amid impressive themed decors, act as support to our guides when they tell you of:

  • The profound connection between the Maya and the tropical forest, its animals and vegetation
  • Mayan writing, mathematics and astronomy
  • Kings and queens, their treasures and the vagaries of politics
  • Past and present culture and daily life of the Maya
